Ralf is the head of product management of the ZIEHL-ABEGG DRIVES unit. ZIEHL-ABEGG was founded in 1910. At ZIEHL-ABEGG, everything revolves around electric motors – and from the very beginning, this has essentially included lift drives.

After studying electronics, Ralf Arnold joined ZIEHL-ABEGG in 1989 as a development engineer for lift control units. He held various management positions (Head of Electronics, Head of Drive Technology, Managing Director). During this time, key products were developed.

In addition to his work at ZIEHL-ABEGG, Ralf Arnold was a guest lecturer at the Mosbach University of Applied Sciences, on the board of trustees of the Heilbronn Lift Congress and on the editorial advisory board of the Liftreport.

Ralf is married, has 3 grown-up daughters and, in addition to his interest in lift construction, he is an active musician and cyclist.
