A key event for the elevator industry
Pilar del Castillo
Pilar del Castillo is Member of the European Parliament at the Committee on Industry, Digital, and Energy (ITRE). Pilar del Castillo parliamentary work has been very focused on digitalisation, energy policy and industry.
She was the European Parliament’s Rapporteur for the Data Act, the European Electronic Communications Code, and the Telecoms Single Market Regulation, among others.
She has also actively participated in several legislative files in the field of energy and industrial policy, such as the reform of the Electricity Market, the Renewable Energy Directive, the Energy Efficiency Directive, the Net Zero Industry Regulation and the European Chips Act.
In addition, Del Castillo is former Chair of the European Internet Forum (EIF) (2009/2024) and is Vice-President of the European Energy Forum (EEF) and Co-Chair of the Transatlantic Policy Network (TPN).
Pilar del Castillo is former Minister of Education and Culture (2000/2004) and former President of the Centre for Sociological Research (1996/2000) of Spain.
Del Castillo is full Professor in Political Sciences.
She is Fulbright scholar.
